The Garden

This is the first handmade book from "The Garden" of Villa Tivoli in Merano. The book contains black-and-white images taken over multiple summers, along with the cyanotypes of plants from 2023. Throughout the book, you'll find pictures of a withered plant that I discovered and brought home, which are predominantly cyanotyped.

The book's third element is close-up shots of an old postcard from the hotel. These shots are printed on transparent paper and placed over specific black-and-white images. The book's design encourages the reader to examine the resulting composite picture as well as the image beneath it.
