Touching from a Distance

»Touching from a Distance« is a long-term photography project that includes images taken between 2014 and 2016. The collection showcases scenes I witnessed while strolling around the streets, similar to a flaneur. It is a documentary-style project but with a twist of »Stream of consciousness« photography, inspired by the New York School photographers of the 1960s and 1970s.

The images showcase people in their daily routines, nothing unusual. Yet, this beauty of photography fascinates me - finding the magic in these ordinary scenes and telling a story within a single frame or a series of photographs. It also inspires viewers to craft their narratives for a particular image.

The project is about everyday life but has also developed into a significant study of form, colour, and composition. It was published as a book, which you can see here.
